Tracy had told me about Ray owning the roadster body, and Harry confirmed it....Harry had picked up a chrome air cleaner from Ray, but when he couldnt come up with the 15 bucks, he gave Ray the body instead. Harry had sold the roadster to Joe Barnett who took it apart, and Harry somehow ended up with the roadster body. These guys passed around cars and parts like an easy freshman.

So I just found this thread, I could probably rescan that article bigger if you want me to. I think I found another article of it elsewhere but that kid didn't bump that thread for ages so I figured he blew it off.

Thanks, I found an original Hop-up mag with the article, and a very similar article was in the 59 Car Craft and 60 Rodding and Re-styling, with the Barris pics.

    Update....
Things going slow right now...but I am in the process of fabbing and mounting the pedals and master cyl.

Still looking for other pictures for you. I came across these on my computer. I think my buddy saved 'em on here about '05 or '06 when we were living in PA. Some "vintage" LSR (I think, Austin none the less) photos that were posted on the HAMB long ago ;). Just to keep the whistle wet.

Thanks folks, over 4000 hits. Kinda at a stall for a bit due to funds, and some other priorities around the casa. But still looking for the ever allusive 1956 Grand National Roadster - Oakland Roadster Show Program. There has to be at least one out there somewhere.

    Hello
Was surprised to see this thread brought back some wonderful child hood memories. I remember the Roadster well as a teenager I hung out at "Bucks Auto Parts" in Merced should be well known to you
The roadster was sold to Rick Belcher in the late 60's and I have no idea what happend to it from there.
You might contact Gary Reinero in Merced he may?? have some pictures at the time Anderegg"s roadster was being shown he was building one and if I am not mistaken won the Oakland show in 1966.
Also and I am not sure you do not already have these Jim Anderegg should have quit a few, and also Ron Nahas of Reno,Nv may have some from when Belcher owned it. Thanks for the memories :)

Where'd ya go Fast Eddie? Did get ahold of Ron, was great to talk to, but didnt have much to add. I have spoken numerous times to Rick, Gary, and yup Bucks has a huge part in this story. Not too much progress as of late, but hopefully in the near future, all the stars will align and we can get back on it.

    Hey Louie,

I was browsing through my folders on my comp and found these and don't know if you have them or not. I imagine they came from another thread on here.....I have a horrible "right click...save" addiction.

My computer used to be a lot faster.:(

LOL, I have the same addiction, Thanks for keeping the lil roadster in the back of your mind. Also, I feel the stars begining to align:D:D:D may have some progress within the next few weeks.

BTW, for those out there, still looking for the ever elusive 1956 GNRS program, some Kingdom race dates from 1954, and a Show date for Turlock Motorcade around Dec, 1954.

It finally on all four wheels holding its self up!!!!! Getting the front end all figured out. Millions of thanks to Tracy Ledford of Winton Ca. for actually answering the never ending phone calls from me and being a great source of parts. Hope it sees the light of day in the next few days to go get its VIN stamped on the frame:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I just signed on to the H.A.M.B. but I have been following your build for a long time. I have a collection of car show programs and photos. I am learning how to post photos and hopefully this works. The 1956 Roadster Show program has a listing for the car but no photos. The listing in 1956 is the same wording as in the 1955 program . Hopefully there are some new things here.

R&C Ron...I want to publicly thank you for the opportunity to visit with you and your bride on Saturday, and thank you for providing us with a few of the "holy grails" that we have been searching for. We were very very impressed with your collection of literature, photos and hot rod/racing memorabilia. I have to believe it rivals any collection out there. Your 40 Chevy is amazing and your 34 is going to be just as impressive. We had a great time, and appreciate your interest in the roadster, Thanks again.
