Very nice ride. How do you like the way the front suspension rides? Does anyone know how I can find the thread on the guy that rebuild the front suspension on either a 53 or 54 Chevy. He posted a lot of pics along the way. I am still trying to figure out what to do and The time has now come:)

I think Im gonna take a brake from sanding for a bit and do something different this weekend. I think I have enough chrome and polished aluminum now to go through the engine. Not a complete rebuild, just gonna take it apart put a bit bigger cam in it, new timing chain set, new oil pump, head gaskets, valve seals and get the engine all cleaned up and ready for paint.

Got a little done on the engine today. new cam, timing chain, oil pump, all new gaskets done on the lower half. Got umbrella seals put in 1 of the heads too. Tomorrow I should finish up the engine work and seals in the other head so the engine will be ready for paint. Then I will be back to sanding on the car so it can be all buffed out and pretty lookin.

Thanks guys. Not much of an update latelly. Been sanding it down smooth the last couple of weeks. 1500,200, and started the 3000 grit sanding last nite. Should have some pics to show after this weekend. Im hoping to get a majority of it buffed out. She's gonna be slick and shinney!

I think the sanding is pretty much done now. Now the hours of buffing and pollishing starts on Sat. IM sure there will be a couple of spots that will get some sanding attention after the buffing starts.

Thanks for the comments guys, small update today. SHe is getting shiney!!!!

10 hour day at the shop today. I got everything buffed out with the 1st of 3 compunds. Tomorrow there are 2 spots IM gonna hit with some 1500 to get rid of a couple of fisheyes in the quarter and drivers fender. Tomorrow everything but the hood and dash should be completelly buffed and finished. Gonna remove the hood from the car for easier buffing and to make putting the powerplant in it easier.
