Amx transmission spitting fluid out fill tube

63 galaxie with 352 with Fmx (3 speed cruise o matic) transmission, drives fine but spits fluid out the top of the fill tube, have changed the filter and fluid. Dip stick reads right so shouldn't be overfilled.

Fluid not contaminated, nor does it look foamy

It's not easy being this stupid sometimes, I'm looking at everything but the obvious, vent was plugged
