  2. Hummm, we watched the trailer and not for us. Agree with Matthewsgarage, once the guns came out and the violence we lost interest.

However...seen something familiar, who else had been (note past tense) chased out of a salvage yard after hours by the junk yard dog?

  3. come on Bob there all home grown guys and good friends to all of us in southern oregon. But Damn Dan the wire man in a movie thats tits. will have to buy jusy cause.

You gotta admit a realistic movie about hot rodders would be pretty boring.....
First 15 minutes would be dragging some rusted carcass out of the weeds onto a trailer.
Next 1 1/2 hours would be in a dark garage wrenching, welding and painting.
Car could back out of the garage as the credits roll...Entire screen play could just be swear words strung together......

Saw the trailer, that is enough for me. I have been into cars for over 50 years and never tried to act like trash!!

  6. Looks interesting, some pretty cool cars, and I like the music lol.

  9. Why not I can't wait to see someone stealing an engine in Impound, or letting the air out of someone's tires while they were waiting their turn to make a pass.

Maybe we could get jesse to play the lead. :p

I don't think I could watch two hours of that.........I didn't even get through the whole trailer before I bailed out. Sorry. The script and the acting were pretty lame.

I'm with you Old Soul....Get real, it's a movie, not real life.... it's fiction.
Some of you guys wouldn't watch Bullitt cause the chase scene has Off topic cars
    What a crowd.

  15. Bullit had real actors. If I was to try and decide by the trailer I would think that '70s porn was the level of the acting.

But like I originally said someone will probably like it. Hell people were still going to the Rockey Horror Picture Show well into the '80s and it was not my cup of tea either.

Real Actors? If we're going to talk about movies with bad acting lets talk about the Hamb "Holy Grail" of car movies....Two Lane Blacktop....The only Good scripted and acted car movies were American Graffiti, California Kid and Moonshine Hidgway (my personal opinion, and evrybody is entitled to one) so acting doesn;t have much to do with it....Two lane was dubbed a "Cult Classic" and has maybe 50 words spoken in the whole movie....
Like I said, I am not burning on anyone for having an opinion.....everyone sees things differently, but don;t lose touch with reality here and give this independent flick a bad rap because it depicts IN YOUR ESTIMATION all hot rodders as JD's It's fiction not reality.

OK Porknbeaner....Just seems like I piss Hambers off faster than I piss off the wife....and I actually try to piss her off !!

  22. Naw, even if you did they'll probably get glad in the same pants they got mad in.

I think that it comes down to some of us like it and some of us don't and no one is really on the fence.

    hmmmmmm,
The guy pulls out a handgun and makes 14 holes in the window/door with one shot??

    ....Well Ok then,

I guess "new skool" guns pretty high tech compared to my Colt 45.

All joking aside, I think I
would have watched it if bigbob55 hadn't of pissed me off first;)

Got mine and happy with it. No academy award winner but worth the watch. 20 years from now when this becomes a "cult classic" remember you had first dibs.

  27. Cars guns women whats not to watch im in!

  28. The two footed super kick that guy landed on the youtube trailer was pretty badass. That's hard to do and totally WWE style. Hahaha

  29. Well said

  30. Every time these modern throw back "hot rod" movies come out I am always tempted to get them but had my fingers burned on that "Deuce of Spades" disappointment (once again; awful acting, thin plot).

I think theres always the Buy, Rent or Borrow scale and I will file this one under borrow. I aint buying it, I aint parting with cash to rent it but if someone hands it to me to watch I'll put it on... then come back on here and ineveitably explain that its not worth borrowing, could be wrong but... doubt it judging by the trailer.
