It won't be an exact clone until you roll it. Just kidding. Great job....

It seemed like installing the big block with fender well headers gave me the most trouble. Everything had to be in almost the stock location to get the headers to clear the stearing box. I had to raise the motor for the headers to clear the box and still have the clutch z bar in stock place. I had to use raingear wipers under the dash because distributor was raised and original would not fit. All it likes to be finished is installing new steering box if Jegs ever sends it to me. Its been on backorder for around 6 weeks

To be exact for the roll over, you need steel wheels painted with aluminum paint and single exhaust.;)

Actually, I think they showed it a couple times. One being when Dennis Wilson is setting the timing. Another was in the beginning, when they stop for gas, but it's just a glimpse.

Beautiful example of a "field" car....... Definitely One of the coolest stop light launches in a movie, hearing the BBC scream thru the gears. Love it! Flux

it got a lot of looks at the tri5 nationals last august

  20. I'm a bit confused, I thought AG was set in the late summer of '62, what big block did they have at that point in time? (or was the setting later, like '65)

  21. When I read the thread title, I was expecting to see a yellow '32 Coupe.

The car looks great! Now you'll have to invite Harrison Ford over to take it for a spin. (If he promises not to roll it.) ;)

  22. Yes. "Where were you in '62?" was the line in the ads.

You never see an engine shot in the move AG, because of that. One would not know the difference. Yes, the setting was '62.

I have read that 3 chevys were built for Two lane blacktop. 2 of those were used in American graffiti.
