If anybody's going to the auction, I'm curious as to what the Goldenrod will go for.

My parent's are at the auction to sell their '32 Auburn Boattail Speedster. It's black and red. Wish I could be there.

Wish I could go - seeing Edsels boat tail speedster would be worth the trip:

    EDSEL FORD'S SPEEDSTER STARS at
    "The AMELIA"
https://www.ameliaconcours.org/UploadedContent/Edsel Fords Speedster Stars at The Amelia.pdf

"His boattail speedster had Ford V-8 power and running gear wrapped in a
sleek, all-aluminum boattail body made by Ford's aircraft division. It was just what
Edsel Ford wanted and had described. No running boards and a steeply raked split
windshield that disguised Edsel's continental car's humble assembly line origins."

I went in 2011 and they had a 'hot rod' class. Does anyone know if they are having hot rods there this year?

Boss left Thursday, hope to get there some year. Who is the official HAMB photographer? Hope to see some great photo coverage of every MILLER that will be there. Have fun if you are one of the lucky ones there. Bob

I'd sure like to see the finished Edsel Speedster, I saw it when a friend first found it, and we didn't have a clue what it was at that time. Bob

I agree. Hopefully someone will take a ton of Miller detail shots and share them on the HAMB.

The top of the Cyclone in its down position, look at the complexity of the wiring and hinge, it no longer operates under its own power and the engineers that built it are long gone, sadly.

The steering wheel and instruments of the cyclone are still very modern

I will let Jack Lentz, builder of the "Golden Rod", know what the car went for, I am sure he will be pleased.

My Bro.(327-365 hp) was there....waiting for more pics. He sent me a few...a couple of GT 40's and vintage Vette race cars. My Boss won his class with his freshly restored 1910 Pierce Arrow.

I wasn't going to post any pictures but since Bad Penny ratted me out:rolleyes
This was my first time at this show and I was blown away by all the amazing machinery. There was over 300 cars there. Not a lot of HAMB friendly stuff, it's more the Pebble Beach crowd and wow was it crowded. Really tough to get pictures with all the people there.
Like Bad Penny mentioned, my good friend John was invited to bring his freshly restored 1910 Pierce Arrow. It's a 66hp 7 passenger touring car. This car is huge! Aside from paint, plating and upholstery John and Pierce expert, Howard did all the assembly and mechanical work. Congrats guys!

3 Dog Garage had the Al Dal Porto roadster there. Really great to see it in person.
