History Amazing vintage collection of magazines

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Nicholas Coe, Apr 17, 2019.

  1. While helping a friend clean up his father's old hot rod shop we found these jewels. Several are hand numbered as references for the Hotrod he built in the late 1950s and early 1960s. 5. Oh don't worry, that thread will follow soon! I'm still collecting all the details and the many, many photos, documents, and trophies regarding that ride and the car club that followed. IMG_20190417_114310.jpeg IMG_20190106_172238.jpeg

I thought everyone had thousands of magazines from the 40's, 50's and 60's.

Fantastic Nicholas...I believe many of the most interesting Hotrod/Custom/Race pics are sitting in boxes holed up to be hopefully discovered...now if only the garage was housing a capsule...

Thanks in advance and look forward to your sharing these priceless moments.

There was a thread with a Hotrod Pickup some time ago in a Museum...perhaps was up for sale that that reminds me of.

  10. His truck was lost to time. Please see if you can share more info for the family. Thank you!

I can smell those magazines from here.
    Love finds like that.

  12. That's a mother load!
I grew up reading those "little" mags. In fact some of the very first ones I bought with my allowance.

I'll never forget having to pay $.25 for the magazine and forgetting the penny for sales tax.
