Wow...incredible!! I'm diggin' the goggled monkey too, this one reminds me of Mr. Peanut:
Threads like this make the HAMB the coolest place on the web. I long for threads like this instead of the 24/7/365 bitchfest that the HAMB has all too often become. Thanks for posting Kirk!
Here is one that used to be the Holy grail of hood ornaments as only six were originally made - one for each of the six Bugatti Royales. They have since been reproduced, proving that nothing is sacred....
You're welcome. I'm stoked that everyone is digging them as much as I did.
The bitchfest is why I have been so absent on here. It's just usually not worth the effort. WAY too many internet experts on here these days.
Thanks for sharing, I had no idea!
Right in my backyard. Did you eat at George and Sally's or stick around for cruise night?
It really is a great place...
We were on our way to another stop, but we did eat at the diner.
Excellent thanks, I have a reproduction of this one, very cool
here is the one I have
Great stuff, Kirk. It amazes me the stuff you get to see when you go on these GG cruises. Cool.
Here are a few of mine....
That airplane/spaceship thing is crazy.
I only live about 10 minutes from there...every time I'm there and the barn with the hood ornaments is open my wife has to drag me out of there. There are so many that it's hard to focus.
Just as amazing is they actually have many of the same great ornaments INSTALLED so you can see them as they were intended.
Killer KIRK! Thanks.
Heres a few.
Who would have imagined that ol' Tricky Dick would make the cut???
Opposite ends of the spectrum
JC Whitney circa 1960's Light up Jester
World's Fair circa 1939 Robot
I've seen the jester, but that robot is INSANE! You have to recast that!
Ssshhh. That IS my resin recast of the metal original.
OK, I won't tell anyone.
AMAZING!! My fav would be the surfer girl. I collect stuff and I just cant imagine how long and how muchie to get to that level?? AMAZING
Great Stuff and thanks for sharing !!!

i was just saying wow and what would it be like to have all the cars lined up that they came from...
Yeah! Planning a trip from Redmond,WA -> D.C. next week and have been looking for places to stop along the way. Gilmore is on the 'must see' list now. Thanks!
Does anybody know anything about #484, the prone Egyptian princess? I think that is so cool because I dig the art deco style of that subject and era. Did that hood ornament go on some particular brand or just an aftermarket dress up?
