So, I have tried to post several times and they have been taken down.
One was taken down because my car, a 1957 Ranchero which is basically stock other than a few mods, like a '95 Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6L is taboo for this forum???
If that is so, than I shouldn't waste my time here... Is that what I'm being told???

  2. Yes your choice of motor does not fit into the rules of this forum pre 1964 hot rods and customs.

The tradition police say nothing newer than 1964 year wise. Pretty simple really. Plenty of sites for resto modded cars which run newer drive trains with FI and so on...

  4. What does it look like? Don't showcase the modern stuff and it will be ok. So much collective knowledge here you would be cheating yourself to not stay.

  5. Read the guide lines on the Top of each page of each section. Your Car isn't off topic however the Motor is. If you want to Boast about that part then Yes. If you can handle Not talking about just that part, leave the Hood closed and take in all the rest of the Early Hot Rod stuff here than your in for a grate ride. I have several vehicles like my Avitar that I just can't go into everything about them and I seem to fit in just fine. Good luck with your decision. By the way, I have 3 - 57 Fords. None of them get a full description on this sight.

Yeah, you replied to my steering box issue and it was taken down twice. So, I am wasting time here it seems. Thanks

  9. Are you talking about Today? That's listed as Johnny Boy. Send me a P.M. as to the question you asked.

It not a waste of time if you're on the can...only if you could be doing something else.

Sorry for our lose. Like every SBC here is 65 or older. If that were true a 350 could never be mentioned.

Yeah, and I wonder about somebody who says several posts were taken down when only one dealing with this thread is on the profile page. Or are they automatically deleted from the profile page too? How can somebody with 4 Subarus, a Prius, a Sundance and a big Suburban be treated so poorly on the HAMB! Jack E/NJ

  22. Wasting your time here? I personally don't think so. I've learned one hellava lot being a member of the Hamb and I thank all the members who have given me guidance at one time or another. So no, your times not wasted.

Was going to say the same thing about the T5 swaps. Seems we need an "Other" forum for people that want to participate in the hobby but use more modern parts in their builds. Last 72 and under show I went to had more LS swaps and parts that were more readily available than traditional rods. If we don't embrace those entering the this hobby and grow moving forward, soon this will be a forum that will dwindle in membership as the world moves on.

Yes, exactly .i personally believe traditional. Means using what you can afford and what's available and using your creativeness to make it all work. Buying new chassis and crate motors and kits are not traditional fabricating is .my Parklane has a 292 y block with an AOD a narrowed Explorer Rear Axle .2006 crownvic cop car drive shaft .1980 Granada spindles and lots of electronics but nobody sees it because under the hood they see a y block.im currently working on building a fuel injection setup utilizing the tri power

If you've been around here very long and not experienced the power of the HAMB's editing department you aren't trying hard enough.
This place is a welcome oasis in a sea of "all those other forums"!

No, it was a while back and you posted a couple pictures of the steering box you put in your '57. It was blue and out of a _ _ _ _ _ _ and they took it down... So, I posted again looking for a steering box option, they took it down, Again. So to hell with it, I will go elsewhere for help. Thanks Pist-n-Broke. Still love that name!

According to Ryan's rules linked by Moriarity:
"If you've come here to discuss anything other than Hot Rods or Customs built in a style representative of 1965 or before, you've come to the wrong forum."

That translates to "pre-'66." Not "nothing newer than '64" nor "pre '64 hot rods and customs."
1965 is within the rules. 1966 is not.
