One word = WOW. That is some nice metal work on that roof and it looks like it belongs on the car to boot.

I dig how it flows into the windshield, and how the door openings mimic the roof line, very nice!

Thanks for all the kind words. Thought a few of you may dig some aluminum work. I dont have many photos of the process. Didnt built this with the intent of a photo time line. Most of the pics i take are always under the feeling like, hey that looks cool may want to remember that. so my photo journals suck big time! But I do have a photo documented build that i may just share soon of the re-creation of the Vulcans 32 Victoria A-gas that ran outa willmington at Lions many moons ago. Some drag race freeks may remember this purple monster. Will share soon.

    Budd-gas weld

Phill- Looked at pics of your top terry built you before i started as well as a few others. Terry H does awsome work. very nice, love your car.

Rex-i built a 90deg frame first out of the same material (.063) 3003. it being an L facing outward and the skin final welds the at the hard edge of the roof. This being said while it was an L frame, i flush rivited a steel doubler in all the corners that had a small tounge sticking out as a mounting tab for the window frame. The rear corners have also a steel doubler with a strap rivited to them to mimick a stock mount. Dont have very good pics, hope these help.

This roadster happens to have an aluminum interior but if you were to do apolstry i figured it would just overlap the mount and it would resemble the stock mount. Do to it being a painted body, i couldnt cut into the side to make it come through the upper edge like stock.

Jeb , having to fab that on a painted body had to be a challenge to not scratch up the body. the top looks very nice . Glad to see someone talked him out of the plexiglass top he was saying he was going to do.
