I got this aluminum fuel cell in a package deal and I don't anything about it. Is it something homemade? it doesn't have a tag or any numbers it is 12 1/2" long x 8" wide and has 3 bungs and filler hole. I guess I was asleep when they taught how to figure how much liquid would fit in it.
Volume: pi * radius2 * height. So, 3.1416 x 16 x 12.5= 628.32 cu. in 231 cu in per gallon. 628.32 divided by 231 = 2.72 gallons. Seems a bit small for a fuel tank. Except maybe for a gasser or similar. Not an oil tank for a dry sump system. If it was, it would be mounted vertically with the fill cap on top. Someone else will post with more or better info. By the way, it is not a "fuel Cell". But, it looks like a nice item if you can use it.
