Went from a Gm 2 wire plug alternator to a Generator.
Red wire now goes to Batt. Terminal on the regulator
Made a wire from gen. "F" to the field post
Made a wire from gen. A to armature post
I have left over the wire from the alternator that is keyed ignition..

Does it need hooked up or???

    Should not need it.

If the car has an idiot light, then you can connect it to the Armature terminal on the regulator or generator.

No Idiot light, just a volt meter. Wouldn't put an ampmeter in if you paid me

Just clip it and tape it off??

Yeah, or remove the wire, which is a pain if it's taped into the harness.
