A few photo of my friend's '34 Ford Phaeton undergoing a rebuild here in Texas.

This car came from one of Al's friends in KC, MO back in 1973. He had moved to HouTx to work and it was in his Mom's garage until she moved and he had to get it gone.

So Al went to KC in a blizzard to get it.

When Al got it, the 2x4 Cadillac motor was blown up.

Al's made some changes that may not make the "traditiional" crowd very happy but it IS his car so . . . . .

George Barris was in town back in the '90's at a car show and Al spent a good bit of time with the Old Master and GB recognized the car as one of their works from THE '40's. He has asked Al to bring it to some of the major car shows in CA for him to exhibit when it gets done.

If you have the "Hot Rod Deluxe" issue from July 2010, it is the car second from the bottom in the "Thrifty Drug Store Car Show" photo / article.

The handmade, louvered full hood is the giveaway.

Will keep photos of the progress.

Now if I can just get this photo deal down . . . .

    Take care, K
