Not new to the HAMB, but new to having a HAMB friendly vehicle.

1950 Plymouth slantback -- 440 w/727 trans and 8 3/4 Sure-grip rear axle-- gasser style with Econoline axle...and yes, red wheels (my dad thought it would look "Old-Timey" -- he gave me the car to build, so I'm going with it:D)

Second is my non-HAMB car -- 1967 Dodge Coronet - slant 6 w/3-spd manual on the column - radio delete car, but has dealer added A/C. Now has 14" Cragers installed.

Dont' have any pics of my 68 Charger. Some of you may have seen it at the HAMB drags at Mokan. Hemi orange with black top - 383 w/727 trans.

My '29 Tudor, this was a roadster pick up last year. Changed bodies to make the season longer.

Chilly here in the spring and fall, and can also be wet.

Took me awhile to finger this out, so here goes. When you answer by the quote buttom write your post then scroll down. You will see an additional options? Go to attach files and follow the prompts (from your photos on your hard drive). Once dont hit submit reply and there ya go. What I haven't figured out yet is how to add them to the body.

    Help?

My current obsession is my 61 Olds 2 dr sedan I pulled out of a Olds boneyard almost a year ago. I'll be driving it back to same boneyard on or about the 1 yr aniversary for a photo op. All the others are too new. My last obsession is my 69 Roadrunner that I restored with the help of a master bodyman that he and I spent 240 man hours on. I drove it on a 7800 mile roadtrip in the summer of 07. My other backburner car is my late brothers 68 Firebird with a 400 4 speed. I take it our about 4 times a year and break the law with it really bad. my son drives a 75 Ventura I got for 250.00 no smog required. Also have an 02 Roadking when i get tired of cars.

Specs: 1 of 4920 2 dr sedans, same roof as other 61 GM full size. This car has a HD front seat, spotlights, hole where an antenna was and 394 2 barrel with a 3:08 posi. I've rebuilt the suspension and brakes so far and cleaned it up adding e bay seat covers.

I like to be comfortable as I get older ...
1954 Cadillac and a new Lincoln Town Car ...
With 55 years difference in technology ... remarkably similar dimensions/weight/HP ...
The new Lincoln handles a lot better ... but nothing beats the comfort of my old Caddy cruising down the highway ...

My wife asked me if I wanted another Oldsmobile. Her friend had this car sitting in her driveway as a project for her boyfriend. They lost interest and wanted it gone. Within hours it was sitting in my garage. How many wives out there will encourage their husband to bring home a project car, much less FIND it for him? The car runs but the Slim-Jim transmission still needs tweaking. It has the original paint and driveline, but the interior was redone in an awful 70s style that has fallen apart. I'm going to just strip the interior and drive it. The little 215 V8 has a unique sound thanks to the open exhaust. Side pipes are in this car's future, as is a 2" drop. The picture is from when I went to pick it up. She's cleaned up now and safely tucked into my garage.

Went to crank her up last month and found the accelerator pump O-ring was shot (bugger). Turns out there is a resto shop in Marietta (Global Restorations) that has a ton of engine parts on the shelf. The co-owner was at my church's Mechanic's Ministry last month and offered to hook me up with all kinds of hop-up goodies for the little 215. Thank goodness for Rover keeping the design unchanged! The guy also told me about a man in North Georgia who knows how to rebuild Slim-Jims. Amazing the people you meet sometimes!
