A couple of things for ya:

    1. I'm having problems with my user title script again. It will be fixed soon, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up. If you are an Alliance Member and your user title doesn't say so (maybe it says something like 'grenade inspector'), you can go here:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/profile.php?do=editusergroups

Choose the Alliance group and your user title will be corrected.

    2. I haven't shipped out new Alliance tags in two weeks as I am still waiting for my 2012 Alliance tags to get here from the printer. We had a slight delay, but it's all good now. I should have them tomorrow and will start stamping my ass off as soon as I get them. Thanks for your patience!!!

  2. And we all thank you for your patience, and then some!!!

  4. Ryan. Don't you ever sleep ? I'm sure sending out the calenders (which were great by the way ) earned you the right to take a little time off. I'm sure our cars, for several of us, is just a hobby. I'll be happy to get my cowl tag when it gets here. Cheers

What does the title "grenade inspector" mean or signify anyway?

  7. looking forward to the 2012 tag.. and x2 for the meaning of grenade inspector, I always thought it was a joke, a mechanic buddy of my fathers told my brother one day not to ever join the service, because the only job he whould ever be good at would be as a grenade inspector.

I sent a PM to Ryan asking the same question, yesterday. I see mine now says alliance member, so something is happening. I just don't know when to pay again?

im pretty sure this year tag is gonna be black.. reason i did not buy one last year.. will be placing my order soon.. first have to find some 100+ year old recycled pine blocks suitable for telecaster body shapes.. water stain, rusted out nail, weathered from nature is all good.. just finding this old stuff is hard out here in az.... from a old barn or something for guitar bodys.. living in the desert, not so many barns were built like you guys have back east

as for the meaning i am unsure...you shuffle up to Grenade inspector after 100 posts? thats just my guess. Best way to get rid of the Newbie title is to become a alliance member then that title is shedded...plus you get a firewall tag and the feeling of satisfaction knowing you have supported something good :)

Thanks Ryan. At least I didn't send you a million messages wondering why I'm still a FNG.

    100-399 = grenade inspector

Not worried about the tag or the red letters. Thanks Ryan.

Yuppers, thanks for the update. I won't have to check the ditch behind the mail box quite as close now that I know it will be a while. Combination of lazy mail delivery guy and a snow plow driver that thinks my mailbox has a bullseye on it. I might even remember to get the discounts this year.
