I enjoy seeing the new " barn finds " and recent acquisitions of vehicles and projects, but who here has owned their licensed, tagged and insured ON TOPIC Hamb vehicle more than 5 years ?

The coupe in my avatar has been on the road since the mid 1980's. :)

Definitely not me, but I have a friend 61 years old that still has the first car he bought when he was 15 years old. A five window 34 Ford. He drove it all through high school, raced it at drag strips fom Sacramento to L.A. and drove it to his 40th high school reunion a couple of years. The guy is one pure hard core hot rodder.

'57 Chevy Nomad. Bought it as a project in October, 1968.. My son, TxRat, drove it to high school in the '80s.. It's sitting in the garage awaiting a 2nd "resurection"..

  12. Including the cars from a barn to completion?
My 30 Model A and two T Roadsters were "Barn Finds" in 2004 and the Model A I just Sold and the Model T is still under the same name for the same time as well.

  21. I've only had my 50 for 3 years, But I've moved because the landlady didn't like the "junk" parked on her property. I'm sure that counts for somthing.

Still driving my first car ('64 Rambler 392 hemi) - I got it '84 as a stocker - been driving it since '85. Started with the factory 6, then a 327 in '85 ...sometime in the 90's I put the 392 hemi in there. Bought my next car in '89 - a '34 Plymouth coupe 392 hemi. Still have it too. Then a '37 Chevy ...the 47, the '56, a 29-30 in pieces (only one not running)...aww crap I still have 'em all - I'm NOT into selling them. It AIN'T about the money - I just like them too much.

I have three Fords, a '40 Coupe, '41 Pickup, and a '29 Highboy. Got them in '67, '75, and '82, respectively. I have a really bad record about getting rid of hot rods; never happened. Two out of three under their own power today, above the recent average. One of them gets me to and from wherever I need to go.
