Hello greasers! I have a few wonderings about air suspension, I have plans to put it on my chevy truck but I have never done this befor. Is ther anything special I should think about? What I heard I need to change the front end, is that really necessary? Please reply! Apeman
1st: pics of the front end, 2nd: tell us how low you wanna go, 3rd:whats your skill level. Lets start w/ this then carry on.
Hi, thanks for the notification! #1: Well, I dont have any pic on this computer and I did not find any online eather. It's a original front suspension, chevy 3100 2nd series whith leafsprings. #2: I want it to get really low, one cm from the ground or something like that. #3: I'm a pretty experienced hobby mekanic, but my skill in this area is really low. That means this is my first Air suspension built and front suspension shift. Thanks/ Apeman
Ok, if you wanna lay you need a lot more work that just mountin bags. You'll ned to notch the rear frame, possibly bridge it, dropped uprights up front and maybe even convert to a arms, or front is a arms already? Z the frame or clip it w/ a more modern front end, many guys seem to go that way. Do a search anyway, plenty of useful info on here. If you can weld, and do your research well, you'll find it is not that difficult. NOT an easy job by any means anyway. and a lot of work no doubt.
It's no arms on the front end. I guess i have to go with a Mustang II front end then, I dont like to cut the frame and install an Camaro front end. I'm going with the notch aswell. I will search a little bit more, Thanks alot for the help pal! /Apeman
