Well I am almost finished with the air ride on my Ford just need to install the shocks. Does anyone have pics of how they mounted the shocks after bagging the rear? What is the best angle and location to mount them?
They would work best mounted as close to the wheels as possible. If you don't have any on the front drive it around & see how it rides, sometimes they aren't needed up front but always are on the back.
I don't care what you've done in the past or how many friends you have that do it but I wish people would stop saying that you don't need shocks with bagged vehicles.
Here are some pictures of some rear shocks installed. Even though they aren't on a '51 ford you should have something close to them.. and i repeat what has been said before don't drive any car without front and rear shocks.. bags or no bags.. sorry didn't mean to put the one in with the coil overs but what the heck...
