I'm looking for a Grant steering wheel adapter for my 1960 Cadillac. I purchased a part#3162, but the center hole is not large enough. The shaft is 1/2inch.Grant says they no longer make an adapter. Can anyone HELP? The red metal flake wheel is waiting

  2. On my 59 the splined section is conical which is the problem. I took a 60's Chevrolet one and had a machine shop ream it out to the Cadillac size , but they could not spline it. So I bolted in on tight and impressioned the splines, removed it, then got to filing. Quite a few hours later it was on, I had more time that day than money. There is a turn signal metal tang piece under the wheel which need grinding down as well. Some people say to get a old wheel and cut out the center but there is not enough meat for the 3 bolt pattern to do it safely :(
