Hot Rods Aftermarket heater id?

Found this in the trunk of a 51 chevy I recently acquired. Anyone ever see one of these or recognize the manufacturer? Know what it is maybe?

Now thats patina . Actually looks like that thing might still work.

 

NAPA has a 12V motor that duplicates the 6V. Only one speed, but their heater fan switch is a rheostat.
