Aftermarket distributors for flathead engines.....need help!

Hi guys! I have a french flathead, and i would like to mount the alternator on the original posision ( centered ) but then the belt interferes with the distributor ( distributor too short, supposedly from some chevy? )

has anybody had the same problem, how did you solve it? wich aftermarket distributor would fit, and clear the belt?

If anybody have pictures of there flatty and want to show how they placed the generator/ alternator, please do...........
