We are putting on the 1st Annual Northern California Reliabilty Run.

We have been planning this for a long time, everyone agreed there needed
    to be something up here.

And it turned out that our date was the day after the Hot Rod Revolution
We had already been in contact with Keith about the date, and he thought
it would be a good idea.

    Northern California
    Labor Day Weekend
    Sunday September 3rd,2006
You are invited to take your 1940 and earlier
Traditional Hot Rod, Custom, or Classic
On a 150 mile endurance run through
    Northern California.

The run will start at the historic Twin Oaks Tavern,
located in Penngrove, Ca. Just outside Petaluma,
about 45 minutes north of San Francisco.
We will start at 8:00 am and take some of the best
back roads through Sonoma, Napa and Lake counties.
This is an endurance run, and will be over
150 miles, and could take over 4 hours depending
on how fast you drive and how much you stop.
So bring a full tank of gas, and put your car to the test.

this event is put on by
    the lucky bastards car club
    and the Kingpins car club
    For more information visit
    www.luckybastardscarclub.com
    or call 707-579-3422

  2. I plan on being there Dave. This sounds like a total blast.
Folks, some of the best roads in California are the back roads of Sonoma, Napa and Lake county. This should be some great driving in some beautiful country.
    See you there.

Well we got some bad news,

we wanted to have T-shirts for all the first year participants.

but the screen printer is not going to have them done in time.

So............. we will just send them to you, for free.

We really want this first year to be a free event, and we want to give back
to those who support it, so when you show up Sunday we will get your
name and address and shirt size. and send to you when they are done.

I can't wait for this weekend, with revolution and the run.

    see you there.

I gave the A the once over tonight, and pulled out all the boxes and junk I was storing in the car; Should make the run o.k. There are a few things leaking, but nothing too scary...
If anyone needs the front of their car lubricated, drive behind me for most of the run :D

  25. Been there, done that... Took me a year to get all the oil off my daily driver!

  26. Speakin of prep, drove my coupe to the Goodyguys (ya, ya I know) last friday and it started making some weird noises from the front brakes......sunday eve I took it apart and discovered the brake shoe anchor had ripped out of the backing plate on both sides.....shit. Front brakes are of onknown origin so getting replacement was not an option. As I saw my Revolution/Reliability Run evaporating before my eyes I ripped the thing apart, pounded the ripped to shit backing plates back into shape and welded reinforcing plates on them, as good as new and ready to go. Phew, close call folks.
I figure those brakes are now good for a coupla more years..........
    See ya all there.

i made it as far as napa.i was having charging problems.besides it seems the pack was cruising at 70,which i can do,but i would probably trash my babbits.next year we should get maps so the smaller engines can go at their own pace.i really would have liked to have done the whole thing, but it was great for the leg i was able to do....about 30 really nice cars showed up ...

I wish I had some pictures. But that was so much fun. The run made the Revolution worth going to. If the dates stay the same, I will never make it to the Primer Nationals. Oh well I'd rather drive my car any day. Thanks for a great time. Scott
