Afraid of fraud? Protect yourself...

Hey fellas, we host a ton of classified ads here on the H.A.M.B.. In fact, we average almost 300 new ads a day. And these ads are viewed by millions of people per month. With that many people browsing, there are bound to be a few bad apples. As such, we've developed a few rules for you to live by when buying and selling on the H.A.M.B..

1. Never, ever complete a transaction by wiring money or sending a check to a seller. Don't do it under any circumstances. Why? When you wire money or send a check, you have zero protection.

Instead, use PayPal exclusively. When you pay by PayPal, you are protected by the service and if the deal goes bad, you have an avenue to get your money back.

2. Note that every user in the classifieds has a buyer/seller rating. You can see it under their username when viewing a classified ad. It looks like this



While this feature is new to the H.A.M.B., it still pays to pay attention. If a user has a poor rating, don't buy from them.

3. We do not police deals made between non-Alliance members. As much as I wish we could do that, we just don't have the time. And at the end of the day, there is not a whole lot we can do with offending members without their verified contact information.

However, we absolutely police deals made between Alliance members and in the 10 years of the program, we've never had a deal go by that wasn't fixed in one way or another.

Sell To Alliance Members!

Become An Alliance Member!
