Thanks John and Impala Girl...
Thank Irish Mike!
I have a little over 2000 miles to go and will continue to post the old, abandoned, strange and unusual.
A few from this morning.
VERY COOL TRIP. I AM SO ENVIOUS
John, it was great to see you and Cynthia at the show on Saturday! Also, I forgot to mention that I had a chance to check out your coupe chassis at Ryan/Tardel's on Thursday. VERY NICE!!
I enjoyed this thread I went to your site and bought a shirt
It was good to see you too. By the time you stopped by we were pretty spent from the long week so sorry if I seemed stupid. I will be out at Ryan and Keith's today and will post up some photos
Great talking to you again this year and what a privilege to meet your new co-pilot. Safe trip and enjoy Viva . Blue
This lovely house can be found on Airbnb. Lot less than two hotel rooms/night and way more cozy.
Thanks Enloe! I shipped the shirt out today!
Thanks, service with a smile
Awesome photos, I too take plenty of building shots and love the 2- lane.
Thanks for letting me hitch a ride with you, fun trip!
Stopped at the Atomic world HQ on my way out of town to say hello to Ryan and Keith.
Keith is building my 32 5-window (you can see the build thread "the John mearns Coupe") here on the HAMB. It really looks fantastic.
Here is the body almost ready for paint.
Thanks for the ride along on such a great trip....I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for taking us on the trip John and Impalagirl !
All I can say is Wow! That was fun, that was cool, that was interesting. Thanks.
Great thread! I think we should encourage more "Drive Report" threads on the H.A.M.B. My favorite motorcycle website has a whole sub-forum dedicated to "Ride Reports" like this, and it's among the best parts of the site. Check it out and imagine cool rods and Kustoms in place of the motorcycle adventures in the photos. You'll find a few Moab-Area reports there too: http://advrider.com/index.php?forums/ride-reports-epic-rides.99/
Thanks Dan! I always enjoy your photography. Keep an eye out for more nonsense as I head back home. It ain't over yet.
Found some good stuff to take home.
John it looks like you're still having a great time . Ryan's A touring looks great , be safe . Blue
A few more from today. I stopped in Fort Stockton Texas which is just within striking range of something I have been trying to buy for about 5 years. If I'm successful, I will share it with you, if not it stays a secret until next year.
Have a safe trip to lost wages , I especially like the old signage photos , keep'em coming .
This is an awesome thread. I love the pics and updates.
Is it your plan to drive to LV with that windmill tethered to the truck?
It waits for daylight.
Well your right down the road from us . If you need anything let us know . Some nice old trucks out here . Blue
A follow up to my stop in Johnson City TX.
I pulled up to the front door of A Stidham outfitters and unknowingly solved a long standing mystery of their family. You see, they have an international harvester metro Van grill hanging in their house and always wondered what it was from. Their best guess was an IH tractor or big truck; now they know.
Here are the goods from the goodie bag they gave me.
We do our best to keep things right.
If you are in Johnson City stop I and tell them ACME sent you.
