we have a 64 Ranchro, fresh out of paint.

My guys are trying to get the windshield back in, but, with the windshield in, the trim won't go. with the trim on, the gaske won't even think about stayin in.

What is the secret Ninja trick I am missing here?
should I install the trim and gasket onto the windshield first, then drop it into the channel?
That seems to make the most sense, but I am sure I will get a screwdriver to the neck if I make that particular suggestion.

Can't find my shop manual right this minute, but many late cars require the windshield trim to be installed in the rubber before installing the gasket/windshield/trim assembly in the car.
Find somebody who has the shop book and it will tell the tale.

put the rubber on the windshield , install trim in rubber, lubricate well with soap and pull in the standard manner. have someone hold the trim in the rubber as you pull the string. make sure you have the rubber that takes the trim there are 2 different ones. hope this helps RED
