Hello all. I've been wandering around here since last year and finally decided I'd better "introduce" myself. Like the title indicates, I ain't got a hot rod, but I like all things cars. I've been learnin' lots of things here at HAMB are have been really enjoying the Friday Art Shows. That's all, pretty damn boring. Thanks!
Hey SoDak welcome! Just cause you ain't got a car don't mean you won't. We all started somewhere. Larry
st.rod, Thanks, and yep, someday....someday... Hey Tman, LOL! Go Cossacks! AceyDuecy, I've seen some of that old tin, I've just got to pry it out of the hands of the dudes that own it!(it also helps to have enough money...
Wonder if you know my cousins Rick and Chad, Troy Steuerwald/Gage? They lived in Volga when we were all kids real early 80s? Must have been 82 or so we chased some tail at a Volga football game. Fruitless I might add.
Yep, he's right. What I saw was fiberglass.... WTF?! I had a hard enough time finding tail in '82 and there you were horning in on the small pool of chicks? We were probably striking out at the same game! The last names sound familiar. But I don't know those guys. I graduated in '84 if that gives you time frame. Waited 2 years and started at SDSU in '86. Did the 5.5 year plan and graduated SDSU in Dec. '92. Hey, did you ever get that Pizza King State Special? Thanks man!
We crossed paths then. I was at State 90-94. Worked at Sioux river Cyclery, I was that guy that rode mountainbike every day even in the snow. Have not had the State special in ages!
Chubbie, the chase is part of the fun right? I've got samples of of tin from all the major car makers since 1900. I'm sniffin' them to train my nose to be able to smell rusting tin as I drive through the great prairie.... Just joking...or am I? Tman, I recall driving past a guy that was riding his bike in the snow once. I splashed water and slush all over the guy... 34 GAZ, I know about the Volga, like the one in the background in your pics, but not the nice one in the foreground. Nice looking car! Is that yours? Frank36, I get up to Bismarck about twice a year to visit my college buddy. Where ya at in ND?
welcome ..I'll tell yah why the chicks were hard to find back in those at both Brookings and Vermillion They were all busy chasing ME !!
Skinners was just being built when I left. Hated the Chevy. Black & tans at Jims or beer and pizza at Rays after a Thursday night ride.
The buy line from the SDSU ads now is, "You can go anywhere from here". I went a whole 10 miles to the west... You could always head down to the Lantern Lounge. Whenever I went in there, I was afraid I might get knifed. Thanks to you other dudes for the welcomes!
