    Has anyone got a 29 1/4 inch C to C leaved ( not mono ) front spring ?

I would like a measurement of it out of car .

If it is exactly 29 1/4 centres , what is the height to the bottom side of the main leaf .

I want to determine arch height, as I am going to a spring works next week .

Weight is a fenderless/hoodless flathead roadster hiboy.

J image.jpg Here is Ford blueprint for a front model A spring. A spring shop should know what to do.
Could reverse eyes to lower.do not know if this helps. Free height 5".

Some companies offer several different degrees are arc, they sometimes have ones that are designed to lower the car and inch or so. Posies comes to mind on one company that offers that.

  5. You've had this suggestion before, but I'll repeat it. Call Rod-Tech in S.A., they make and sell all this stuff locally. They have springs, they can talk to you about them.

YES, and rod tech never get back to me.

I have contacted them before and I got sick of waiting for a reply.

And I want to do this myself and not just be a cheque book builder.

I would stick with the stock arch. You would need to give the spring guys the length between eyes measured along the bottom of the spring and not eye to eye. I would get a ten leaf spring made with a rate per side of about 135 lb/in. I can calc the leaf thickness if that sounds ok.
