Getting closer to coming home. I am working on the F1/model a steering box and the 48 ford s wheel.
Now for a plan to get the r/e down.
Count down is on Nov of 21 is a planned drive date.
Just finishing up a 25 head sprinkler system for my back yard. Sure helps when I have someone looking after my wife.

First pic. The men that made it happen, Johnny Porter, Garon Lamb, Mason Pressley. First 2 put the body together for me, and Mason is the the driver of the truck and trailer.
This could not have been accomplished without all of their efforts.
Last 2 pics are at home ready to get on with many other things.
Thanks all for getting me this far. 20201003_113743.jpg 20201003_173527.jpg 20201003_173603.jpg

Easy day today. Chasing a 180 amp welder, went to the wrong place. Now that is first on tomorrow.
With the car in the shop, and sorting out where everything is, looking at the car and seeing where to start. I put the modified F1 steering box in place and saw how long the shaft is. Something else to modify.
I have started on a list ,so I can start getting things done. It is going to be slow.

Car has been home a week, and nothing done, except the steering box.
Too many have to do's. Finished up a drainage problem, have the welder, waiting on a helmet.
Joy has been off track for the past 2 weeks, there is no time to get to work.
    It will get better.
Thanks all for being behind me.

I like the blue but then I’m biased on that color. Car is looking good and the guys are killing it for you.

    Jim,
A lot got done on the car and should put it closer to being done. Did you get your transmission assembled?

If you going to shorten the steering shaft and haven’t rebuilt the box yet you could cut the box end and cut a key slot and machine the end down to fit the gear back on, just a thought.

Car is looking great. Best to you and Joy.

    Hi Cliff.
Trans is together, little tight on the sliding gears. Another job.
Good tip on shortning the shaft.

Joy has progressed into what the drs call stage 5, but in excellent health. Just requires more time. Thanks for asking.

Small things getting done, just not to the car.

New phone ,can take pics but my email account has been eliminated, and I can't set up another. ATT will help.
Have the r/e up on stands, wheels off and thought I had a puller for the rear hubs. I guess I only thought I had one. Trying to find something I can 1 800 order. Now to get the ft end up and wheels off. Next w/e looks about right.

This Indian Summer is killing me with all the grass cutting. Shouldn't complain it's easier to work in short sleeves.

    Jim,

You are inspirational. You show us that when life serves you lemons, you make lemonade.

Love the rear 3/4 view - great stance. Truly a 40's style build.

Big change in plans. I will be using a late ford 3 speed trans with the t90 jeep top plate. I really wanted a early 80s ford truck trans,4 speed with 4th being o/d. I have not been able to locate one. This will be fine. Having a little trouble locating the proper bell housing, a 51 merc with the cross shaft. O/P is going to send me pics tomorrow.

A little work done rear hubs off, getting ready to put brakes inside the backing plates. Hopefully next week. Patterns for floor boards are made.

Still trying to locate all the parts I had on hand. Small steps ,but moving fwd. Trash cans are full.

O/t van has to have a master cyl. Then back to the A.

I know not much, but working with a full plate. Still have to drill for the starter, and light switch. Doors and other small parts in epoxy primer. Trying to get shop cleaned up also.

    Thanks for looking.
