Took 3 weeks to get there. I'm going to put my original black 07 Alliance tag on the rt side of the tank. I'm thinking of using the tank.

Yes, stock had an inner piece where rubber would go. I have an old aftermarket set that is also chopped 3" that does not. No biggie, really.

    Jim,
I went back to the stock tank on my Tudor so I could haul the grand kids around. Not enough room in the back with the other tank. Works great but had to improvise on the dash.

I was thinking of using a 32 dash . That fits under the roadster top rail. Brookville has them. I have one in my 31, but the tank is just a top.

Does anyone know if you use the Bville 32 dash for a 28 9 if there is room for the instruments behind it, or if the tank has to be opened up?
Have a whole week without Dr appts. Lots of other stuff to do. I am planning on sealing where the tank goes to the lower cowl and side panels. Any problem with that?

It was hot,the silicone had been put on the edge of the cowl and tank. I'm sure it looked like the monkey and football going around. Then to top that I put in all the 1/4 bolts then tried ,with my parkinsons to put washers and nuts on them. I even laughed .Next to impossible. Got about half of the started ,then it got too hot. That's the 5pm job. LOl

Jim, if you haven't gotten too far in the cowl installation to turn around, I saw a setup , or at least pics of it, that I would have used on my "A" if I had seen it before I built it.
The guy had removed the tank part from the top, so that it was merely a panel covering the area from firewall back to the windshield and he made it removable so that all he had to do was remove it to work on anything in between dash panel and firewall.
Being damn near as old and big as I am, I'm sure you can understand the contortion that would remove from finish build and any needed future maintenance.

Aaron it is a puzzle, but yes it is slowly coming together. This cowl was something that was pushed to the fore front. I still have to weld the mounts in. I have them located now, but want to put the cowl on before I weld. The cowl is 28, the frame is a 31 so the locating mounts on the frame are a bit different. Next week the 2 get married . LOL.

Just made the trip from hell. Was stopped in traffic 3 different times for over 4 hours. Any way I have the back half of the roadster. The HAMB disc helps a lot. Super nice people. Hope to get it all primed soon.

Have primed some parts, but the sub rails and 1/4s get epoxy primed tomorrow.
Sold my Zeed frame and have purchased another frame. I didn't want to cut the new sub rails It was blasted 30 yrs ago, and needs it again. That is Mondays job.
Now to figure a way to lower the rear. I need a rev eye spring if anyone has one.
I'm cutting the bottom out of a tank ,so I will be using only the top. With a new dash.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Top picture is the spring I was trying to install along with the stock model a spring. Need to get the eyes reversed.

Middle pic is with the new tank top installed.

Bottom pic shows the tank cut out.

Was able to get out of the house for 2 hrs. Wifes daughter was over and they did some Holiday cooking.

Was looking thru some boxes from who knows when ,and found these beauties. Started sanding on one. That's something I can do in the house.
Also borred the cowl braces from Missiesdad. . Only 30 min from raw material to installed .Plus the support it gives the door post is great.
    Thanks Missiesdad

    Merry Christmas .
