Interesting. Gotta get a better look at alot of these features, but seems cool. I really dig being able to scroll though the pics. Should add "Music" as a category in the social groups.

I understand how it works, like having our own mini-forum...and it's not that I'm complaining, I like it a lot. I just think it would be a 'time saver' if the posts in the individual threads went newest to oldest.

BUT, I'll give it a shot and I'm sure I'll get used too it and you won't have to worry about me bitching and complaining anymore about it :)

Thanks for the improved way to waste my day, Ryan!

That's how it works... The threads are displayed newest first... Inside a thread, the replies are displayed oldest first - exactly like the HAMB has worked forever.

:D I agree with Nappy that the social group format needs to be changed back to the newest post first. There was nothing wrong with the format of the social groups that merits a change. The commuinty short cut is nice.

I just hope that the new social groups doesn't splinter the main HAMB. I love the diversity of the HAMB. I hope I don't have to search multiple social groups to satisfy my multiple interests. Old farts like me are always averse to change. I'm sure I'm in the minority but keep an eye on the content of the main forum. I hope it doesn't degrade. I've learned a hell of a lot by eaves dropping on posts that might now be buried in the social groups somewhere. JMO

    Pretty cool Ryan! Great job!

Man! There are ton of social groups!

So does this mean I can edit my Hemi Tech Index and other threads that don't have the "EDIT" button now? ;):D

    For now, yes...

But you might want to start thinking of a better way to hold that content as I'm not sure how long indefinite post editing is going to be available.

I love the idea of discussion threads in Social Groups. Seems like there are always about 4 different conversations going on in some of the busy groups.

Looks like you're getting your money's worth, man... ;)

I dare say, but it seems like we're on the largest implementation of their software I've ever seen!

I love it Ryan, now we can have some conversations about stuff that may or may not be suitable for everyone. I get tired of opening a thread about something and having to sort through 4 pages of people bitching about various stuff. Now we can gather in a place with like ideas.

    Works for me!

(I'm into REALLY fast hotrods, and although I try and stay billet free, I love new technology, and 500+ horsepower in an older rod cant be all bad! So I created a group for people who wanna really go FAST...)

    thanks..

  27. When I logged on today, I thought OH NO more red ink. That's all I need. Then I realized that things I've previously viewed are highlighted in red. Great idea and great job as always Ryan. Thanks, Don.

I'd say we're one of the best due to the hard work that the administrators of this site do. This update is great Ryan!

Thank you for giving us this great communication tool!
