A stupid question about carb spacers

    Check the power valves. Leaking there will cause the problem you have

    I have run 1" aluminum four hole, with swirl grooves on inside of each hole, spacers on several small block Chevy motors from mild (300 HP) to high performance (365HP) with dual plane aftermarket aluminum manifolds and Edelbrock 1406 carbs and have had very noticeable positive results providing more bottom end acceleration from a dead stop. on my '94 GMC with throttle body 350 (with mild cam) have a 1" aluminum aftermarket spacer that also added more bottom end acceleration.
