a source for a special snap ring

    Been all over the usual sources.....Grainger, McMaster-Carr, Fastenal. I'm looking for a source for INTERNAL SNAP RINGS. O.D. when no load expanded .750+/- .010 .060 thickness steel, any finish.


    Nothing I've seen is available in that diameter with a thickness more than .030.

    Anybody in heavy trucks or construction equipment with these dimensions? Or close to them........

    Use two .030 rings. Will that work ?

    I don't think a ring would expand/install at that thickness for that small a diameter. Can you double up thinner ones? Used to do that on certain piston/wrist pin locks. Speaking of, can you use a spiral loc? They are near impossible to remove.

    Spiral locks won't do it. They are to replace the wire type retainers in a set of hydraulic lifters that have been converted to solids.
