Never been a huge fan of dropping cars low, but in this case, it works...VERY well. Love it.

    looks so good.

I had the chance to buy a one of these Rivs a few years back. Was white inside and out with 58k original miles. Rust free car that lived in Ca its whole life. He was only asking $6500. I just couldnt come up with the cash in time.

Oh .... But Damn I know the rest of that word, and saw them at Lone Star round up and yes, I would deeply second that. Consider the Skylarks remark retracted if that is the eventuallity.

I've always liked the wheels ran on the '63 Ferrari GTO.

  9. knock-offs aren't they? most of those '60's italian cars had killer wires....Aston Martin DB4 GT and DB5 wheels...same killer look. what is on your car as you pictured it?

    Stock caps.

  11. ahh. I'm not very familiar with Riviera wheels/caps. everyone i've seen out here in California has some aftermarket Buick wires or Astros on 'em. Yours is so damn clean though and has a real gentleman look to it....wires would look great

First gen Riv's are one of those car's that need nothing more than an altitude adjustment to be perfect.
    Your's is a great example.
Blakes rendition with those wires, REAL NICE!
Either those, or the 'heavier' style like on Morty's car (my fav for a Riv especially with the 2 bar spinners) are so damn sexy on these thing's!!

    Car looks real good Ryan!

The Riv is a car that can pull them off. Even though I wouldn't do it either.

A set of Bo Ronnies sounds pretty good. I'm a wire wheel guy so I approve. I always thought they would look good on something other than a sports car.

x2. I can just picture your Riv sitting low on some Tru's or Star Wires.

Looks good Ryan. I love Rivs and we have a nice 64 (with huge potential) in the shop right now and I can't get the client to see the wisdom of dropping the stance. I want the car really bad . If I had 4 or 5 grand to make an offer on it, he might bite..but I sure as hell don't right now. This is killin' me.

  16. An easy vote for the Ferrari type wire wheels - I think Bill Mitchell may have had them on his personal Riviera, modified at the GM Design Center, (from pictures I think I remember).

Your car is looking very good and you are indeed lucky to have enjoyed a fair trip home.

    Keep having fun.

You nailed it on the stance. It looks like new borranis might be available too. http://www.borraniamericas.com/html/history.html

It looks like it's time for everyone to order some new HAMB bling or threads so the boss can swing some new wheels.
I've wanted one of that model of Riv since the first one showed up when I was a Jr in high school and still want one

factory caps look fine to me. But then, I'm not a big fan of wire wheels personally. Too many bad 70's memories I think.
