I'm surprised you aren't already getting that from people who see it! When I first got my car on the road with the original 1946 paint people were always telling me they'd seen it run at the local strips back in the 60's.
My buddies and I got some good laughs from all these stories, since it was a stock car with 4 banger a year before that!

 

The stories that you hear are half the fun I hear a lot of fast 6 cyl stories around here most involve the law and moonshine before the story ends

 

Here's a quickie with different wheels and tires and lowered a bit more. Got a couple of other ideas I'm tossing around and should have something in a few days.

 

Even though the term rat rod is forbidden, in this case I'd make an exception!

 

I like that look; here's another idea, chopped about 3" and lowered all the way around.

nice job man, all the way around! i love it when guys make chicken soup out of chicken shit not that that was a bad car to start with, you just had your work cut out for you, but it was obviously worth it! throw us some more pics of the new engine in the bay and interior....would love to see that nice lookin' 261 with the hoodsides up....that'd be my daily driver too!

 

Got to cruise with Buddy this weekend and check this thing out in person and it's just cool as hell ! Lots of pesonal touches and unique details that make it stand out, and it sounds absolutely bad ass! How about some pics of the new striping Buddy ?

The gas tank was full of crap and nesting material all the way to the top.
One died in the a pillar.

I dont think they're reading the whole thing. The car has been cleaned, is running, driving and burning up blacktop all over the great state of Texas guys, disease free even !! Did you get a pic of the whole car yet ? I meant to but never even busted out the camera.. I never saw one in the thread anywhere.
