There have been many over the years that I have ridden in or helped build that were along the lines of what you rode in (and that includes some pretty high caliber genuine racing stuff!), but pound for pound, Driving ElPolacko's twin turbo'd big block green and silver truck is by far the most mind blowing thing I have driven or ridden in.

Out of respect for a friend's car, and respect for the fact that it does occasionally break expensive driveline stuff, I haven't ever simply jumped on it out of a stop. I HAVE ridden shotgun in that situation SEVERAL times, though! What I have done a time or two though while driving, was a hard roll on from say 85ish, (official desert freeway speed) well into the mid 100s in, well, less time than you can think! We are talking honest to god hyperspace kinda stuff here, with all of the scenery flashing by the windows turning into one long blur at the snap of a finger! all of this with a certain silence from the turbo'd engine that removes the sensations normally applied to this type of behavior...

Easy one. I have this patient who ones a '30 Model A coupe painted Milner yellow (yuck). Not a very "period" correct rod, but mind-blowing nonetheless. It's channeled and unchopped, running disc brakes on the front and radials (yuck again) all around. He bought it off his brother decades ago when the brother became tired of it. It's got a built 396 in it with two four barrels and he took me for a ride one day. That thing was really freaking fast and totally hot rod experience. Fast, light and scary as hell. Loved every second of it.

Don`t think I`ve ever been in anything that wild. Back in the early `70`s my buddy built a 671 blown`61 Vett that was a hairy handfull treat. I envy your quick trip. Loved the looks of that T since 1st seeing pic`s of it...definatly...have fun,HAUL ASS!

  7. ....wicked. Without the hemi, looks like it would wheelie over to its top. Thanks for the ride.

A friend has a Fiat Topolino that he and his dad built back in the day....big hp blown small block, 4 speed, crazy little roll bar. That car scared the hell out of me.
Then there was my stint at a race shop where we had the world's fastest LS1 car. But that's a different story.....

Sweet. I get that car, rambled around it up close in Bowling Green one night. It's even better in person. Something about the proportions, street lights and beer.

If that were actually true you wouldn't bother putting that sticker on the car.
