A Question for Lincoln Zephyr Experts......

Are bumpers for a '39 Lincoln Zephyr the same (similar) as '37 L/Z bumpers?

Does anyone have comparison pics?

 

The rear bumpers are similar if not the same.

The front 37-38 bumpers are very different from 39 bumpers. The 39 is a split bumper with twin crossbars in the center. The 39 front bumper is the one you see on customs...

No but you often see 39's with 37 bumpers. 37's are easier to come by.

 

Thank you one and all for your responses. A buddy's '37 3w is minus bumpers and a set of '39's may be available. It seems that not only is this a viable option, it may be the preferred one, Thanks again.

 

That would definately be seen as a plus. neat old custom trick.
