Buick Riviera, a luxury car built from 1963-1999
Well all you have to do is fly to Baltimore. I'm already registered for the Revival so we'll drive it down for you.
Of course there's an ulterior motive here - this will break the ice with Sue so I can get my own - like I should be so lucky as to find a low mileage green one too
Give it some thought. And don't worry, you'll have plenty of road warriors from Austin willing to help you get home.....
WOW! they got u.g.l.y towards the end.
Well, from one car-buying junkie to another, congrats! Enjoy that damn rush, it's well worth it! And the distance only makes it last some more, so that's not so bad... and nothing like a big road trip to cement your love for the thing.
A Series 1 'Riv is definitely a very nice pick, one of the best looking American cars ever. Looking forward to seeing the photos of the actual beast. Black on black looks so slick, but period colours speak volumes too, I'm a sucker for that.
Congrats homie! I can't wait to hear the rest of the story....
Glad to have you in the mix!
Congrats bro, love seeing a junkie score!! ~sololobo~
Here you go, junkie; another hit
The plot on this story just thickened - two fold. I got one hell of a story to write come the end of September...
End of September???
We need our fix too!
Oh you're determined to make us suffer.....
Would this qualify as "keepin' your pimp hand strong"?
Congrats! 65 Riv is one of my all time favs as well. Looking forward to the update with pictures.
Ryan, just thought I should tell you that two thugs who work for "Snooki-Slim" ( I assume you international pimps all know each other)tried strongarmin' just the facts out of me last night at the filling station.
Just a couple broken fingers and one hell of a shiner....
They got nothing out of me.
They did tell me to pass along the message that "you people got no business 'round here"...
Awesome!~Cant wait for the real story!!
You know that other one? It will be along side the other, other one on Tuesday. Double the road trip I suppose. Me and the long tall Texan are gonna have some fun!
I have no idea what you are talking about...
Jesus god... Between you and Mark, I somehow managed to find my people in MA. How the hell does that happen?
All that's left is to get rid of the body.
Body? What body? All I know is that a 50lb bag of lime spilled into a hole in the ground in the woods one night with no one else around.
Congrats, Ryan - I knew you had to do it !! I don't REALLY want to sell mine.........
You mean you bought the 64 too?????
if you bought the one I saw in Hines Park last sunday your gettin a hell of a ride
My father once owned a Red '65 Riviers GS with the dual quad 425 in the late Seventies. It was one of his favorite cars and that's really saying something after everything that he's owned! I always wanted one for myself and it finally happened when my father found a one-owner survivor, Yellow '65 while hitting the Wednesday morning garage sales. Even the original Protect-0-plate had the address that I purchased the car from. They are very, very cool cars.
I'm currenlty in the same state of mind. Congratulations, you're one step ahead.
Welcome back to the club! Can't wait to see this.
I've been going back and forth between a '63 Bird or a '63 Riviera as a dedicated daily driver.I just can't make up my mind....
Good on ya. Now go join the rivy owners club as they put out an awsome mag. I had a 69 & a 65 & just sold the 65 now I have none. I believe the club is hdqtrs in Colorado.
Congrats man! The new project euphoria is addictive, so are Riviera's
