For the last few years, I've been lusting after 40/41 Ford pickups.

    (Just like Ryan)

I actually prefer the more ornate hood trim of the 1941 model.

So, I sold my last project, mostly done, and started looking...

I saw this on the Little Rock, Arkansas Craigslist, and had to have it...

  2. Great score!
Hurry up and get on it, so I can get some build tips for mine.

Looks like a great start to me. Hopefully the hard to find hood ornament is in a box somewhere in the truck.
What is there looks relatively unmolested which should be a good thing.
    Good luck,
    Al

Nice looking project, I'll be following the build. Just bought a '39 cab at Hershey so I'll be looking for build tips. Bob

It came with a really nice tailgate and near perfect running boards.

The flathead is supposed to be a good runner.

    Here's the plan.

A stock looking truck with a wicked rake, hot smallblock, and a 5 speed.

7.50 whitewall stones out back, 5.50 up front.
    Chassis engineering dropped front axle.
Chassis engineering parallel leaves out back.
    Bronco rear axle.

I'm open to suggestions, let me here your thoughts.

I understand why you were excited about the truck when you were talking about it on Saturday. Cool truck. You need to call it "snake bit" or something similar.

Yes, I got off to a slow start :)

I've caught every snake that I've ever seen, since I was a kid, venomous or not.

Well, the snakes are getting faster, or I'm getting slower....
