It's been quite a while since I had time to work on the pickup. Getting ready to try and finish the wiring, need to wire the turn signals / brake lights / horn / wiper.

Finally all the electrical has been completed, had to get some help. We installed brake lights, turn signals, headlights, horn, wiper, the old style "chicken lights" up on top of the visor which was on the truck when I bought it, electrical fan switch, dome light inside and also a hidden usb plug incase the phone needs a charge. Next up is getting some straight pipes out to the back and test drive to make sure she doesn't heat up. The plan is to try and make it to the Lonestar Round Up this year in Austin, Texas.

Didn't make it to the Lonestar Round Up but had some straight pipes installed. Now we are getting ready to mount the pickup bed, it's a 1934 bed I found in Houston, Texas about 8 years ago...

  11. Looking good man. My Chevy was a ton and a half as well (though it was in 1000 pieces when I bought it, ha! ) Keep up the good work!

Thanks, very cool. I was looking for a chevy back when I was looking but missed out on one from the midwest. If you get a chance post a pic of your chevy, would enjoy seeing it!

  13. This is one of my favorite pics. It was taken by Scotty Lachenauer at the first Hot Rod Hillclimb in 2013. I don't know if the truck will ever be "finished" but we sure have fun with it!

Was able to set the bed on top of the frame but there is a gap and can't figure out what's wrong. I purchased this bed a few years back as a 1934 Ford pickup bed. I'm wondering if maybe it's not a 34 bed, anyone ever had this issue?

Just a guess but 32 had a 106" wheel base and 34 were 112" . Possibly a 32 deck. What does the tailgate look like?

Need a closer pic of the side shot in front of the wheel. Is the body line dimpled for the rivet?

  21. That sure looks like it's a '32 bed.

The bed you have is absolutely a '32.

Yeah, I have a buddy that just confirmed this as well. If I can't find a 33 or 34 bed I'll just have to modify this 32 bed to work.

  27. He bought a '32 truck that has a Sears Roebuck wooden box on it, I believe at one point he mentioned about putting a regular stock box back on it. Not sure if that is still a thought of his or not.

Hopefully you can find a clean 33/34 box, that would make it easier for you.
