whats the standard here???? I've always mocked the motor up to where the top sides of the oil pan are at the top of the frame... so question???? ..when you are doing the motor mounts , frame on the table.... body off... what do you set motor height at???? seems to me that when you don't get that right you have nothing but problems down the road.....

no, it's a model T frame, if you look back just swapping the motor they leave it way low .... then if you try to lower the car the pan would drag... if you go by the math.... the top of an A frame,... is the same as the top of a T frame... but... I alway put the top of the pan to top of the frame to not have that issue, as all the t kits we sold were drop axel and raised spring perch... It's been over fourty years since I sold the U weld or we weld t & A frame kits, got rid of all the patterns and jigs for liability reasons... what stumped me on my project is why the motor is so low,... but after looking around at swaping a T motor to an A.... thats how they did it...

so now I have to raise it and slide it back,,, PITA!!!!

I just try and keep bottom of oil pan just above the bottom of the front axle and in my case just above my 4 bar front links..
