I may know of a place to get some, I'll call the guy tomorrow.
Original piece...different cameras eras and angles. Fred said you are looking at it from too far away....ha ha ha !!!
great pics and history of the famous Teixeira Willys--I used to watch it run at Raisin City as well. Used to give Neal rides to the BigTop drive-in in Madera about 1960-61 in my 57 Pontiac--my memory (now foggy) seems to also recall a candy colored 35 or 36 Ford pickup that they ran as well.
Glad someone has it that will put this piece of hsitroy together as it should be.
Very kick ass!!!!
Wow thank you for that photo.
Small update to keep the thread alive. Rollbar mounts.
Trans tunnel came out nice.
Here's hoping that you can make the CHHR..
Rollbar mounts are on the frame and flanges are ready for the tubing. The rollbar has to be removable for chroming.
WOW..thats awesome and def. one of the best finds & saves in a looong time!!
Damn !!!! First time I looked at this thread... My chin's on the floor.
Your not, but I know pictures can do weird things and a few times I have questioned "original parts" some people got really pissed.
Low tech, my favorite kind!
that is a great story. glad your helping save it. cant wait to see it finished. keep up the good work. would love to meet fred some day.
I saw the car with my own two eyes today.............it's going to be awesome. I cant wait to see the finished product.
Fabbed up the pedal assembly, Fred used 40 Ford levers. Note the original master cyl.
Started trimming and fitting the Rollbar, it was bent up by master racing chassis builder Steve Kent.....I bet my pipe cutter can kick your pipe cutters ass!!....LOL
It's really starting to look like a race car now..................!
So what you are really saying is that there is quite a fortune to be made by farming raisins...hmmm.
How deep do you plant them?
Ha, for some reason i always imagined you looking more like your avatar
