After a lot of begging I just bought one of my dream cars. A 1940 Ford Coupe Deluxe.
Here is the story, a friend of mine bought it in the US like four years ago, it sat at the border one year, then it was finally imported. He is a Chevy guy but said that the 40 was the only Ford he would ever keep. He told me that he was not going to sell it to me, I begged anyways anytime I could, and after three years of "won't sell" I got "The Call" (actually a whatsapp message) that he would sell the car. He actually is the guy who performed the bodywork and paint in my F100. He has started the bodywork on the car, all fenders, top and Hood were coated with POR15 and black primer.
Plans are to make a Hot Rod out of the car (maybe a flamed black coupe) but unsure of the mechanicals. Here are some pictures my friend sent me, bodywork is a Little ahead of what is shown in the pictures but not much.

IMO 40 Fords are right up there with 32 Fords and 55 Chevies on the coolness meter. Good luck with the build.

Thanks for the compliments! I really appreciate, they keep me going!
I will be asking some questions on the run because I know what has to be done but don't know the details, fire Wall mods, suspensión etc..I'll post pictures of progress even though they'll be slow (I first have to finish paying for the car) =)
