A little bit of friction ?

    I’m looking at making a set of friction shocks for my new coupe project has any one on here made any of these?
    I’m trying to find out what to use for the friction lining
    Can any one help?

  2. I cant help on the shocks but thats a Awesome Frenchie.
     
  3. Pete: A guy I know made some for his lakes modified, I'll see if I can find out what he used as the friction pads. I've seen leather used on really old style lever arm friction shocks. You coming to Paso this year?

    Im not going to make Paso this year, Iv got a 5 week old baby, and I dont think the Mrs would appreciate me leaving the country.
    We are planning on comming over late September.
    Did you ever post any pictures of your trip to the UK ?

  5. Pete: I think I posted a few pics up here from the trip. Eva (my wifejust got back from three weeks over there visiting the family and I think we are going to try to come back over next year. What shows are you going to hit when you come over later this year, or is it just for a vacation? Keep me posted as it would be good to see you.

    Shops that reline brake shoes have brake lining that can be used in friction shocks. Our local NAPA store has it,so it can't be too hard to get.

    I used a piece of conveyor belt.
    It's 3/16" thick and rubber.
