Both the Anglia and the Willys pickup are Oregon cars. The Willys a recent build, but the Homeyer's Cleaners Anglia is a true gasser from the era that still runs the original 286 c.i. flathead Ford it ran in the day. Homeyer's also ran a old Willys coupe and swapped the engine between the two cars. The current owner owns both the Anglia and the Willys, but the Willys has a SBC in it now.

Didn't this car later become the Panella Bros.Trucking car?

Are the "tinted" windows on the "driver's" side only photoshopped?

I liked the first version of Goldfinger best, the second not so much.

Something's fishy about it, the B pillar isn't visible through the windshield.

SR100 I think I see it just past the tip of the left (as your looking at it) windshield wiper. It's dark but there.

That is a beautiful, well-done Anglia. I believe the owner's name was Bob Speelman. Heard he passed away a year or so ago. Really nice guy.

Not sure if this one had any gasser history, but it was really nice. I took this picture at Timonium back in the early to mid ‘70’s . 2A3860E3-D85A-468C-BB8B-687F7AFB5E4A.jpeg

It looks to be center-steered, so depending on the size of the motor, one of the Altered classes.

I've always been puzzled why NHRA made the 92" rule, but even more puzzled that they made the 90" rule specifically for the Anglia gassers? It seemed to rule out all other import bodies with slightly shorter wheelbases, and arbitrarily set things up so only Anglias were allowed with the 90" rule?
Of course I'm biased as my Austin A8 is a 89" wheelbase, and not allowed to run under NHRA's 90" Anglia ruling.

Apparently you weren't the only one. When NHRA made that rule - the second most stupidest knee jerk ban next to only the T/F nitro methane ban - lots of AA/GS owners said F*** you NHRA, we'll match race and go to tracks with "outlaw" events that let us run. A few built Prefects, which were 94" to comply. (Like the time NHRA factored out Bob Glidden's Pinto so he moved into one of the most notorious, controversial and successful Pro Stockers - the 4-door "Tijuana Taxi" Maverick)
