Always dug the three slot grilles, not often seen, makes for a nice change.

I don’t know if this one has been posted but I ran across it while having my morning coffee. Seems Jim Oddy had a nice show winning Anglia at one point. Wish it was a color photo, I’m sure it was a beauty.

That is an interesting shot of that old (Dover) drag strip, insofar as how close the tower is to the track surface. I know driving my old altered that tower would have been "compromised" on more than one occasion of an errant launch.

I like the track prep equipment too (2 push brooms).

It's a bit of an optical illusion. It was close but not as close as it appears in that photo. LOL we were "No Prep" racing before it came around to being popular once again.

Thanks for the clarification - I almost thought it may have been photoshopped LOL.

Canadians Terry Capp and Bernie Fedderly later went on to fame in the fuel car ranks. Terry as a driver and Bernie as a tuner.

Sam Gellner out of Cleveland, OH. He helped Joe Hrudka start what became Mr Gasket Co and built engines for a lot of northern Ohio racers via his Gellner Engineering business. Sam has passed but his wife Carol is still involved in the business that is now run by their son Dean.
