tommy used his "one chance to do all the things you want to do" very well; his life is to be envied by people who don't/didn't

i hope tommy is smiling now, 'cause he left a bunch of folks crying...

i'd sure like to be able to see inside his head and view his memories. he had lots of good ones.
bye, tommy; we'll miss you...
Wow, I think he was the first non-texas HAMBer I met.
After reading this and then his intro, what struck me was this under his name,
"weekender is offline "
Sad to hear of his passing.
Prayer for his family.
Awwww I am sooo sorry to hear that... IM goin through that with my aunt...
ill take a cruz around the block for him.... Sorry to hear
In the 26 years that I knew Tommy, there was always a smile
on his face and a kind word to say.
I'm really going to miss him.
Gods speed Tommy, your pain is over.
central missouri chapter
I am very sorry to hear this.
As with most HAMBers, i think a good person, and by that i mean the PERSON, not the sum of what they were into - Rods, Customs, Scooters, 4X4s, hell tuners for that matter... it doesnt matter to a man of that caliber how well they know you, or even that they do.
its the core of the soul that matters.
I can only hope that someday, all of us are half as well missed as he.
Rest well Tommy, We'll see you again at Gods place someday
I hate to hear stuff like this. The Dirty's send their prayers to the family. Tell the son to Hang in there and drive that Henry J like his das has always done. I think he would love that more than anything.
R.I.P. man he will have the endless drad strip forever......
Sorry to hear about this.
Like someone said, he will be in a better place.
Visitation 5-8 pm, Friday, Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, Missouri
Funeral 10 am, Saturday, Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, Missouri
Burial afterward at the Millersburg Cemetery
I never had the pleasure of meeting the man, but his final line in his intro does tell all : "Tommy McCray, hot rodder to the end! "
My thoughts are with everyone, friends and family alike.
Sorry to read this. Sounds like he was a great guy and true rodder.
My thought are with his family.
Our thoughts and respects go to his loved ones......
Johnny & Kali
Thoughts & condolences to his family & friends. I didn't know him, but it is evident from the responses of those who had merely met him that he is a great person who will be sorely missed by the entire rodding community.
Oh how sad My prayers go out to him and his family. At least he will no longer be in pain.
Its been a hard week on our hero's and older car guys , i wish his family the best and know he will be racing that J to heaven , always loved it when pics of that car get posted , ML
Me too. I went to Tommys Profile last night and "weekender is offline" was the first thing that caught my eye...
As mentioned previously, the Visitation is Friday and the Funeral Saturday. Timmy has been trying to get the word out to all Tommys buddies in the area in hopes of getting as many Rods as possible to participate in the funeral procession Saturday. The Funeral will be in Columbia, but he is being buried in his hometown of Millersburg which is about 15 miles from the Funeral home. That would be a funeral procession to remember if they can get 20 or 30 Rods to show up.
I went by Tommys house this afternoon and Timmy had the Henry J out of Winter storage getting it ready for the funeral. He said he had it out on the road earlier today and stopped a couple of times to boil the hides off in memory of Tommy...
Add my thoughts and prayers as well.
i plan to be there in clarence..
I remember talking to him at the HAMB Drags about his Henry J... what a great guy.
Race on brother...
cant think of a better way to put it.........
I heard that Steve (Weeds) was going to perform Hearse duty. What is he planning on doing it with? That old Plymouth wagon he's been working on?
Hope he gets to do a burnout in heaven!!!!
