Fabulous car, Gordon. I remember when you were having timing gear problems; I'll bet there were a couple of times you might have thought you'd never see this day. Determination wins through!

    Congratulations!:)

You absolutely knocked it out of the park. Somehow you built a a simple and timeless hot rod, without it being formulaic or boring. It also looks like a lot of FUN, so get out there and enjoy it!

Beautiful and congrats to you for your dedication. Sometimes making art takes time.

    Thanks guys!

AVater here are some front fender pics. Mine is a sort of home brewed mount. I used 3/8" steel rod welded to 1/8" by 1" steel flat bar welded up inside the fender. The flat bar is shaped to the inside of the fender and goes from side to side where the mounts are welded on. I then took nuts the size I wanted for the lower mounts and welded them to the back of the backing plates. Shortened up some bolts so they were the length I needed. Took a little heating and bending to get the profile of the rods where I wanted but it wasn't too difficult. I then cleaned all the welds and dressed them with a little filler. They do move around a little bit but I am ok with that as long as they don'd flop too seriously. Only seat time will tell.

Congrats - ya done real good - now a bit snug to sit in -did things shrink on it from when you started? 6 years not bad for a project - know a guy that has been waiting 12 years for paint job on '41 Willys PU to be finished by a "friend"

Honestly Jalopy Joker I was scared the thing was going to be too tight when I got it finished so about 6 months ago I started the Model A diet! Out every morning and ride my recumbent bike 8 1/2 miles. Takes about an hour and half. Yeah I know I'm not breaking any land speed records but I have dropped 22 lbs so far! The fit is much better and hopefully I'll continue with the shrinkage!:D

I love seeing pictures of your roadster. And congratulations on your weight reduction. I too think that roadsters and bikes are a good combination. HFH. C4E3644D-E3DE-4DF6-8EED-62B386293146.jpeg
