http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/3430,359_1928-31-Model-A-Front-Crossmember.html?itemNo=MODEL%20A%20CROSSMEMBER A stock A crossmember is 2" lower than a stock '32 crossmember. No one makes a 2" dropped Model A crossmember.....that I'm aware of.
Lemme see ifin i can do sum rewurdin ! The speedway a-member is the one i had in mind ! Just wasnt sure how it would work out in comparison ,instead of using a 32 style ,,,..Thanks guys ,,,,,C.D.
Stay away from that super low Speedway crossmember.Junk. Get a stamped Model A style crossmember. It is the standard in the industry.(1" lower then a original 32 crossmember.) There is also a super low stamped version. But realize a normal radiator lower tank won't fit on top of it.Must aluminim rads will fit. (I carry both styles in case you're wondering..)
We've used 100s of Deuce Factory A front crossmembers. Lowers the car 1 inch over the stock deuce and had 7 degrees of caster built in. The best in the industry.
Here's a source for top quality 2" drop A-style front crossmembers. They also have them with the standard 1" drop. http://www.jimweimerrodgarage.com/crossmem.htm
Deuce factory is normally the brand I carry. (But they are out of stock now.) The flat one I get from JW. I am an Alliance vendor too. The crossmembers are listed in the frame section on my site...
