Dammit! Finally a great auction within a reasonable distance, and I'll be in upstate NY when it happens.

    I wish I hadn't seen this thread......

    Sorry about your friend.

I wish I was closer. The man had good taste - and he was organized!

You might as well stay home...nothing here in upstate NY except rust, taxes and meth labs:eek:

A family member wedding in Indiana and a visit with our son on Governors Island. I would stay home if it was just the wedding on our agenda.

Very sorry about your friend. He had an amazing collection. It's not that far from me, I'd love to go but I've been down in my back for the last month or so and can't stand for very long or do much walking. It would be a great sale to attend. Thanks for posting.

I have been helping with the set up for the auction this Saturday. The weather looks good and he is hoping for a big crowd. There is a lot of neat stuff that is not listed on the sale bill.

Wow! Close enough to me to have pictures of some of my hero’s from Thunderbird speedway, here in Muskogee! Bill Sanders #25, Tommy Laster #66, Carlie Chicken #9. All still living here in Muskogee, by the way!
    Excellent collection!

I'd give just about anything for the big OKC Fairgrounds Speedway poster and the California Racing Association poster as well. I knew Bob Eichor and Evard Humphrey who were regulars at OKC and Bob Taylor in California who started out racing on the lakes. Bob Taylor was a CRA member and I raced against him in the late '60s. Just the sight of all those parts and memorabilia makes my heart run faster. Damn but I miss those days.

I understand completely but I have no other access. I had to join Facebook to have information on some racing I do but I do not interact with the site. The dumbest statements I have heard began with "I read on Facebook......"

If you need specific information, PM me and I will try to provide whatever it is you need.
