Today was the day of the Yakima Swapmeet at the fairgrounds and as I have most of the past 40 something years I drove up and looked around. Not a lot of super exciting stuff this year but some bargains on SBF aluminum intakes if one wanted one. My total purchases were a hitch extension for my ot truck, a flex fan and a pair of door hinges for the 48.
Some of the more interesting stuff:
A quick way boring bar with the steel box and accessories
A 235 Corvette intake and carbs that are reasonably complete and a dual Weber setup for a 250/292 Chevy six the guys has had those on the Yakima Craigslist for months.
A kind of a 29 Model A roadster body or coupster or ?? Doors were coupe with the tops cut off.
A well rusted drop/wing tank that looked like it had been a stove oil barrel in another life with the stand it was sitting on.
There were a few things I should have bought but I have so much bought gotta store it until I use it stuff now that I passed this time. IMG_3488 (2).JPG IMG_3495.JPG IMG_3497.JPG IMG_3499.JPG

Power parked outside the walkin gate was the sectioned 39 Chev that appears to have had a redo lately because another guy and I remembered it to be another color. The car was around a lot a few years ago and disappeared for a while.

Then it was back to Toppenish to the rat rod and custom car show that is at the park two miles up the road from my house. Spectators are clueless about people trying to take photos at this one though.
The Merc has an Nth degree ot engine but some nifty details on it.
The little 55 two door post has been around the area for as long as I can remember.
The little maroon Mopar Mordor is pretty nicely done up. Probably as Hamb friendly as any in he show.
57 4 door just put lowering blocks and skirts and call it good.
58 Impala had ot "rims" that detracted from a nifty two door hardtop with a tri power 348. All it needs to be Hamb friendly is a decent wheel change.

A few more detail shots on the black Merc and last of the day a little Ford Tudor hiding out in the parking lot because the owner was too cheap to let it play show and tell today.

I’ve always been a fan of those early Falcon Rancheros.

Thanks for the pix. The old drop tank on a stand was a hot ticket out on the "Res" when we heated with stove oil!!

I prefer to think owner didn't feel his car was "worthy" or he did not want to get "locked in for the day"[IMG]
